The essential fatty acids (EFA) namely the Omega-3 and Omega-6 serves crucial roles in the ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of the dairy animal especially when it comes to reproductive efficiency. Signalling factors derived from the EFA such as prostaglandins play crucial roles in maintaining ovulation and healthy estrus cycles.
